The tapas bar La Tasca at Bluewater is excellent - you can sit there for ages (as long as its not really busy and at lunch times you should be fine). You can order a few dishes, eat those, have a drink then order a few more and so on and so on. The food is lovely and I can definitely recommend a large jug of Sangria!!!!!

Lynda mentioned Bluewater - there are quite a few restaurants there that you might like the look of. There is also quite a nice pub at Crossways Business Park (beside the bridge, but you'd have to follow signs to the pub!). It is called the Wharf (I think) - http://www.ploughmans.demon(.)co.uk/pubs.htm has a review Carole

Ann There is the Holiday inn at the Dartford Croosing easily accesable from the bridge, haven't been to lunch in that one, but have used others and they usually do an o.k lunch. Also you won't be hurried and it's comfortable there. Also what about in Bluwater itself, John Lewis has a restauant. There is a lovely Italian in Bluewater, Carluccio's lovely food, going there friday night can't wait. Hope you have a good time wherever you go. Lynda

I'm in the process of arranging a meet for my Mum with some long lost rellies she has never seen. They are coming from Essex - we are in Medway. Can anyone recommend a large-ish pub or similar where we could meet for lunch and a few hours catching up without 'out-staying' our welcome, near Dartford Crossing/Bluewater areas, that would be suitable??
