Hi All All the messages I get from my contacts on GC/GR go into my SPAM,So I have to check my normal email's every day just in case someone from this site has contacted me. IT'S ONE BIG PAIN IN THE POSTERIOR. Sue

I have just e mailed support with the following as I don't like this way of doing it. I do not like the new method of sending messages to other members. If i read the situation correctly i can contact someone via my contacts but i don't actually send them an e mail. When someone send a message to me it does not go into my mail box but can only be accessed via the board. This, with the new rule about not giving out personal e mail addresses means I am unable to send personal e mails to peoplebecause they are unable to give me their address. Before, the message would go into my mail box and I could reply personally. This is policing taken to extremes. Ann Glos

I really don't like the way you don't get a copy of the message as an email with email address attached. I prefer to store these messages in different folders by surname in outlook express. That way I can look at look them offline and have a permanent record of them. I guess if I don't renew membership then I won't be able to access the messages ?

I dont think you can send images through the site. you will have to get them to reply through the site with their email address, but whether their email address sill show up is another question. I will send you my email address to see if it works, if you dont mind. Debbie

Mandy Is there an easier way of sending someone an image then or will I have to wait for them to reply and then ask them to reply again with their email address - seems mad to me - but I've just got used to sending images the old way and now it all seems to have changed. I must be getting old - I HATE CHANGE!!!!

I think it's changed in line with Friends Reunited, they've been doing emails that way for some time. It's a nuisance having to go through GR every time, especially like you say when you want to attach an image or photo etc. Mandy :(

Hi Sue When you got the email from whoever it was did it give you the persons email address as it usually does. I have just asked someone to email me so I could send them a census image but when their email came through it came from GR and didn't have their email address anywhere so I could send the image. Is it just me or have things changed regarding emails. Kath

I nearly deleted an email that came in my junk mail it came in from Genes Reunited, I had just sent a message to someone in reply to a thread. Well usually when you send a message you get one back from Genes Reunited to confirm this, well at a quick glance I thought that was what it was, I usually just delete these but it wasn't it was a reply from the person that I had sent it to, so be aware of this as it will be a reply from someone.
