Sarah. May or not help. I have a Daisy but and her real name was Emma. She was never known as Emma except on the census of 1901. Good luck. SUE.

Hi there, I had a great aunt called Daisy and searched for years to find her birth. When I eventually found her she was registered as Easter Daisy just for the fact that she was born on Easter Sunday. Hope you find her soon. Mary

Sarah So there you are, she could be a) christened Daisy b) christened Margaret, but called Daisy (marguerite is another name for the flower) or c) christened a completely different name, but chose to be known as Daisy. nell

Hi there.... Just checked on mum's side of tree and she had an auntie Daisy. Daisy's name however was actually Anne...no earthly idea how Anne turned to Daisy.. Jill x

I also have a rellie who was known by her middle name of Daisy, but it was a proper name on her birth certificate, not a nickname. Mandy :)

Hello Sarah, I've come across Daisy both as a name in it's own right, and as an abbreviation for Margaret. Also, Daisy might have been her second name - I have a couple of people in my own tree who were known their whole lives by their second name, and alternate between that and their given names on all the records. Hello all, have been searching for the marriage of Daisy Agnes Hill, she married between 1901 - 1908, spouse surname Selwood. Have looked on 1837, found marriages of Selwood but none in the same locations/times as Daisy. I was wondering if Daisy was any kind of abbreviation/nickname for another name. I cant find her death either, between 1908 & 1920. Any ideas?
