Alan, The passenger lists to NZ are very patchy - I've had no luck so far. You may strike it lucky, especially knowing the ship, but the list may not exist for that period. The following may be of some help, and somewhere on it is a link to papers past - actual online newspapers of the day that you could look at the relevant dates for. can someone give advise where to look. I am looking for a ship arriving in Otago.NZ on 3rd October 1864 in the name of Barque Precursor. I have found it leaving Otago on the 3rd August 1863 for Newcastle(England or Australia not sure) also found it leaving Otago 25th October 1864.I need to confirm it did arrive at the given date and from where. Also i need to look at a passenger list for the same ship to confirm who was on board. Hope someone can help.
