On early censuses the capital F 's were very strange very fancy and the wrong way round (have a look at some!) could be a possibility. Bob

Shan Can you give us the rest of the word and we can guess, or are you trying to find someone on a census? If so, it could be anything! My Smoothy relatives were transcribed as Lenorthey, because the transcriber couldn't read the writing v. well and also because s/he mistook a crossed out letter for a capital L! nell
