Can someone please advise me where to start looking for a family called Bleming in the West Sussex area about 1950ish. Where can I get access to the names of the children for instance. marriages? Thank you in advance for any help. Rosemary

Hallo Rosemary The last census open to the public is the 1901, so that is no use. Electoral rolls will give adults names only, but that would be a start. Marriages and births will be in the GRO registers, which are available on microfiche at some libraries or at the Family Record Centre in London, free to view. Alternatively, you can pay to look at the GRO indexes on www*1827online*com - replace * with . You could also try the Trying to Find board to see if you can trace living relatives. LN
