Margaret, Have you found him on the 1881 census? The closest I could find on there is David Loft 30 born Stowmarket a Gunner at Tilbury Fort in Essex. I think I may have found the David from 1881 on the 1871 transcribed as Daniel Lofts 20 a gunner at Woolwich Artillery Barracks. Any chance this is him? Emma x |

Margaret There is this marriage on Ancestry Civil Reg: LOFTS, David Record Type: Marriages Quarter: March Year: 1885 District: Stow County: Suffolk Volume: 4a Page: 712 (Susannah Sayer is also on this page) If this is their wedding cert, both their fathers' names and occupations will be on it. I couldn't find Woolpit on the IGI or in the list of registration districts, but there are several David Lofts in Suffolk, though none born in the dates you mention. LN |

just before i go, can anyone help with a lookup? trying to track down david lofts who married susannah sayer. he was born around 1852/3 in woolpit suffolk, but havent a clue as yet who his parents / siblings were???thanks in advance! |
