Margaret, The best thing to do is to look at the parish records of that area. Failing this go to LDS site and do an area search in the Library section to see if they have a film of the area. If they have you can order the film at your local LDS family centre and look to see if it is there. I have found some of mine on film which were not on the gro or on the LDS site. Mary

Margaret Have you looked in Hugh Wallis batch Number with this you can search by parish for christenings and marriages. Sadly Easthampstead christenings only go up to 1835 at the moment but I did find Francis and Mary having two children William 1833 Frederick 1835 So its possible that Francis and Mary did have a Charles christened. If it's impossible to check Berkshire records yourself maybe someone on here is near and can do it for you. They are still putting on the parish record on this site (ones they can that is) Other than that order it from your local LDS centre as someone has already mentioned. The other way is to phone up the Records centre yourself and ask if you can have a copy of the fiche which covers 1838/9 it may be best to ask 1836-1841 just in case he was christened late. You should be able to take it to your own local records centre and look at it in their viewer, ask first they may not mind but I think its only right to ask to use it. You should be able to get a photo copy of the page as well. Ones I have brought only cost £2.50 each and have at least 20 pages on so have a few years on them. This was a year or two ago. Irene
