British Vital Index Records

Does anyone know where I can buy a copy of the British Vital Index Records. I tried to order them through the LDS website, they wanted 27 pounds for postage, the disks only cost 20! total 47 pounds Michelle

michelle i bought mine off ebay i paid £28 and i think it was £3 p&p why not have a look and put in a bid susie

Sorry to be a bit thick, I'm quite new to all this but is there more information on the CD of the BVIR than appears on the LDS website??

The info is pretty much the same as is on the IGI - marriages usually have fathers' names after 1837 and ages of the happy couple (no occupations). No, it is extra to the I.G.I. There are some Vital Records on the LDS site but they are not British. That is why there are so many people asking for look ups on the Records Office. Mary
