Hi Kate, I had the added bonus of knowing the actual marriage date so I don't know if they would charge extra for actually searching. Email and ask them they usually get back to you the same day they're very nice. Good luck Sioux

Sioux - did the archives department search for you? I have a baptism I'm trying to locate in that church but don't know the exact date.

Woa .... thats too spooky Joan :) Had 3 certificates delivered today one of whic was a marriage for St Peter & St Pauls church, Aston !!!!! I've been looking at pictures of it on line. I've had reason to get in touch with the archives dept at Birmingham central library and they're really nice and helpful. They found a different marriage entry for me and sent me a photocopy of it and invoiced me. I thik it was only £1, far cheaper that sending for the certificate! :) you can get them at: archives AT birmingham(.)gov(.)uk - remove the brackets and stick an at sign in it happy hunting sioux

I think this is now called Aston Parish Church. All of thr records have been moved to Birmingham City Council Archive in the Central Library.
