My maternal kin from Bobbing William Maytum [Bricklayer] Lynsted Susan Anne Gouge. Bobbing Married Dec.22 1840 also researching the Pain`s of Deal. Cheers Alfred Lewin.

My great grandfather was mortally wounded in WW1 and brought back to England where he died. His death is registered in Thanet. Does anyone know if there was a staging area for the injured coming back from France or which hospitals would have been around in 1915 that would possibly have cared for the wounded?
