	Have you tried this? http://www.british-history(.)ac.uk/people.asp? (Remove brackets but include question mark) Even though you may not have the 'right' people, it comes up with some fascinating documents about the times they lived in - and you may find that your surnames are famous, even if your particular lines aren't . 	Sorry, I'm not technical enough to know why it worked for some and not for others. Did you remove the brackets? Sue.
