Never heard of the name Fitus before, could it have been Titus do you think, was George described as the lodger old enough to have been her father?

Anybody got any ideas only the more I look at this, the more confused I get!! I am trying to find birth/marr/death details for ABRAHAM WEBB. I know that this is his correct name having followed through from my grandfather George. George's father was Alexander confirmed on George's marriage cert. Alexander married Leah Lawton 5/10/1907 and his father is named on the marr cert as Abraham Webb labourer. Abraham is on the 1881 census at 5 Whitehall Rd, West Bromwich with his father John (blacksmith) and Mary. When I couldnt find Abraham's date of birth I checked West Midlands BMD, which shows 1861 and a ref number for the birth cert which I have received today. Mother is Mary Webb nee Bushell, but father is shown as Fitus!! My very helpful library has checked the census fiche they hold and John Webb lives at that address in 1881. I have checked IGI & 1881 census, but no trace of a Fitus Webb at all. I was starting to think that I was going completely down the wrong track, when I looked again at the family of John Webb on 1881 census. I found that they had a lodger called George Bushell, which is the maiden name of the Mary on the birth certificate. I am so stuck for ideas now that I really don't know what to do. Please can anybody help me?? Thanks Sophie
