Frances, You need to write to the GRO at Dublin. Give them all the details, I'm sure the fee is 5 Euros. This is their telephone number and address: Family Records Centre 8-11 Lombord Street East Dublin 2 Phone: 0035316711000 (from UK) I have done this a few times and found them to be very helpful. Had a look on the Archives for Ireland but couldn`t see the info I needed. Sorry if I am being thick, but any other ideas anyone? Frances |

Hi Frances, If you click on the 'Resource Centre' to the left of this screen, it gives you an addy for the Archives in Ireland web site. There may be something on there. I have a feeling that you have to send to Dublin, but not 100% sure on that! No doubt some one else will have the correct way to go about it. Margaret |

What is the best way to go about getting a birth cert. from Ireland? I am not sure of the mothers name (although I have a possibility), but I do have fathers name, date and location. Is this enough, and where do I send off to and how much will it cost? Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Frances |
