Hi Folks Im trying to trace my fathers complicated family tree. I have found his Grand Dad had two brothers on the 1891 census. Having spoken to my dad he believes on brother moved t America the other to Australia. Is there a record of brits who repatriated? Or am i na wild goose chase trying to trace where they went to and when? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much as ever Kelly xxx

If they moved to USA and Australia, there will be records there. Or do you mean you think they came back?

Kelly If they never came back then their vital records would be kept in the States/Australian systems. I suppose it depends on how common their names were as to whether you would be able to track them down. This side of the ocean, you may find some info about them on The National Archives. If they stayed, they may have become naturalised and there would be info about that somewhere, though I am not sure where!

Hi Kelly You should be able to find the passenger lists for the USA on the Ellis Isalnd website (do a google search & you'll pick it up) I'm afraid I have no experience of Australia Best Regards Maxine
