i am trying on Jeans behalf to find her brother MICHAEL JOHN FIELD who was adopted whe she was around 3.Her mother is DORIS MABLE FIELD (previousley CLARKE) Her father is WALTER JOSEPH FIELD from BALDOCK. Michael was adopted through the medical department (county hall) he was adopted on the 18th December 1947 if anyone can help in any way could you please contact me thankyou so much Nikki. if anyone knows of any other way of finding Michael please contact me!!!

hi jean, have you tried the salvation army? they used to help with tracing family. and also he may have been sent to canada with a lot if orphans in the fiftys, just a couple of ideas. anne.

She needs to go back to the adoption agency/social services department for access to her file. By looking through her file (probably with a counsellor) she may find out what happened to her brother ie sent overseas etc. and adopted into a family or even being brought up in care. If he knows he has other family too and whether he had come back saying he wants contact. Has Jean managed to contact any of her blood relatives who might be able to shed light. It's possible other relatives who know are mentioned who you could seek out. She could look on Friends Reunited to see if the parents are registered. Also in the Trying to Find section. If she has started her family tree on Genes Reunited she could put his original name in and see if anything happens. Also there's websites Lookupuk(.) com - Missing-you net where messages can be left.
