i have discovered that some of my relations moved to ontario, canada in 1832, on the petworth emigration scheme. i know who moved, but would like to know on what ship. is there a way i can find this info?? they were john caplin, his wife jane (booker) and their 11 children. i also know that jane and 4 of the children died in the same year, but do not know why. many thanks nardia

Nardia, I would suggest you do a google search for Olive Tree Genealogy. The lady who runs this site has extensive knowledge of ships and immigration. Regards Barbara

Nardia, you could also try this site, which does mention the name in various spellings and is for Pentworth Emigrants http://www.theshipslist.*com/ships/passengerlists/petworth.html#eve Also take a look at this site http://www.petworthemigrations.*com/ (remember to remove the *) best wishes Christine
