Does anyone know if there are any indexes (on-line preferably) showing lists of streets covered in census for each district? Specifically I'm looking for St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, 1871 and have been trawling through images on Ancestry! Sheila

I think it can be done. Select England 1871 from the census list. BELOW the search box, select London Then select St Martin in the Fields ** Then select "Charing Cross" or "Long Acre" that brings you to the enumeration districts. ** Selecting SMitF should tale you to here http://content.ancestry.*com/Browse/list.aspx?dbid=7619&path=London.St+Martin+in+the+Fields
