You have to login and then use their advance search for birth marriages and death only it's still free and is provided by Freebmd, so you shouldn't have to pay for it , that said they can always change things! Kim |

Ages ago I had a sub to Ancestry, which I cancelled, but I can still log on using my user name and password. I can then search the Ancestry England & Wales civil registration for free. If you can't, let me know what you want to find out and I'll do a lookup. H. |

I had to login (which I don't normally do). I think it's because I deleted my Cookies since the last time I was there. I tried to "Register for Free" and it said it already had someone of that name "if it's you put in your password", I did and it worked. |

Hi Mary, Ancestry has always been a pay per view site. Maybe you were using the free trial? FreeBMD has them to view as a free site. Cheers Naomi |

I used to be able to check births marriages and deaths on ancestry free of charge - now when I try I get a lot of stuff about registering and reading the terms it seems like its changes and I now have to pay. Am I right or is there something I'm not doing right? Mary |
