Birth certs for army babies

Ummm, sorry I'm in New Zealand and I work in a library ....we don't have those sorts of records here. :-( I'm also not able to get to a LDS centre to order films or fiche, so I guess I'm stuck for the moment. Thanks anyway, Sylvia

I've seen some GRO fiche for events overseas at Bromley, Kent library. It may be worth asking at a main library near you.

There are GRO indexes of overseas births deaths and marriages including Army Returns. You can see them at the Family Records Centre in Myddleton Street but I don't think they are on line. Judith

Help please this is a real doozy Does anyone have any idea where to get birth certs for babies born to serving soldiers who took their families with them, particularly Scottish regiments These details are from the 1891 census, I have Harriet M Wilson b 1875, Aden, Yemen Francis Townsend Wilson b1881, Gibraltar Their, Henry Wilson,father was with the 93rd Reg of the Highlanders I don't know where to start looking :-( Sylvia
