Hi David I'm afraid it's the parish registers prior to 1837. As far as I know there aren't any online yet. Try this page for info - http://www(.)genuki(.)org(.)uk/big/eng/YKS/NRY/Scarborough/ remove brackets Genuki does say that the bmd records for Scarborough are depostied at the East Riding of Yorkshire records office. If this is the case I can do a look up for you next time I'm there. But Genuki have been known to be wrong and the records could well be with the NRY office. What surnames are you researching? Is this possible? Were births etc registered before 1837. or will i have to trawl through parish records. if so does anyone know if parish records for any churches in Scarborough are available online.
