What does it mean when it says unknown entry in "your names" list. Is it that genes dos'nt know who's entered it or the person who's entered it do'snt know who it is?? I'm confused. Maureen

Maureen I have an Unknown Unknown in my tree, because he is the father of an illegitimate great great grandmother and I have yet to discover who he is. I think I typed in Unknown Unknown.

Hi Maureen I know that I have a few unknowns on mine, for example when I perhaps know the husband's name but not found who is wife is yet or a name I've not been able to decipher on say a census, I'll just put Unknown. Christine
