Have found my gr grandmother on 1881 census in Sudbury Hall Harrow. This is the girls home under the National Refuges for homeless and destitute Children. Have got her birth cert and she did have married parents, so why was she there? Her father was a Charles Baker but so far have been unable to pick him out of the "hundreds" there are! Does anyone know where I can find records for this home as it may shed light on which Charles Baker I'm looking for? Thanks Heather

Hi Christine, So far I've not found any deaths for them in the right name, place or time scale but I'll keep searching. Cheers Heather

Heather I couldn't find anything on Access to Archives, but I suggest you contact the nearest records office as that is where records would probably have been placed. Helen

Thanks for that Helen. I'll give it a try. Heather
