Member Since: February 2004 Posts: 71 Send Message	Any one any ideas? I have found my many times g. grandparents' marriage on Dorset OPC. Tracing back through baptism records I have found the bride's baptism, or should I say, 2 likely brides of the right sort of age- 2 different women with different parents born around the 1750s. Any one the slightest clue how I can work out which is the right woman? I am planning a trip to Dorset Records Office next week, is there anything there that wil help me?

Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 877 Send Message	Hi Elizabeth There is no easy answer I am sorry. The only possible way is if you may just have her age. Then her children. They named their children so 1st son after fathers father 2nd son motbers father 3 son father 1st daughter mothers mother 2nd daughter fathers mother 3 daughter mother and so on. Any children that died they then named the next child of the same sex after them. This is not 100% but its the only way we know. Check the other person to see if they had any children did they move away etc. Good Luck Irene
