I have used it in the last few days, from what i can see the main points are the dates for births are only from 1930 at the moment, there is a good search facility using d.o.b. to search for death records...only after 1984 at the moment, the pages are identified by surname and initial before you pay to view. So some advantages over 1837 and will probably be better in time to come when the dates are extended. Still has the disadvantage by comparison to freebmd...which with all the excellent volunteer work and now images is the best. Helen

Has any one used the bmdindex.*co.*uk site if so, is it any good and how does it rate with the 1837 site ANN
