I would recommend contacting the National Maritime Museum. They were very helpful to me. http://www(.)nmm(.)ac(.)uk/ take out the brackets as usual. Then click on the tab with 'Research' on it and you can find a link to contact them. Good luck Maz. XX |

David According to my birthday present book Ancestral Trails, records are scattered. The National Archives holds a random sample of 10% of agreements and crew lists up to 1938. The National Maritime Museum has records for 1905. Some County Record Offices hold lists for local ports. Helen |

hi all can anyone tell me where to find information on a steamer ship called TORGORM my g.father was aboard it as seaman on the 1901 census aged 18yrs. At the time of census it was moored in Shadwell Basin London E It was a glasgow ship official no.97576 It says Foreign Trade what did it carry ?? I have typed the ship name in google ...nothing any Ideas David |
