The only thing I can suggest is looking on 1837 or visiting a library/record office/LDS FHC that have the GRO fiche files to find your parents births and then seeing if there are any other children with the same mothers maiden name. This will give you any aunts or uncles but you'll then have to look for marriages and any children of their marriages. A bit longwinded if you go yourself or expensive if you go on 1837. You could look around your birth to see if there are any siblings. Alternatively you could leave a message on lookupuk*com or missing-you*net to find any family members. Channel 4's Lost Touch page 151 is another place to leave a message too. Do you know the address where your parents lived - you could go to the local central library and look up the electors roll to see who the neighbours were. You might be able to trace them and see if they can shed any light on the family. I did it recently and what a trail it began and was successful.

Brookes and Stocks were my parents raised in care My Name is Darren Stuart Brookes Born 27/11/63 I was raised in care and do not know if I have any relations other than my parents. The only info I have is as follows; Mothers name Theresa Christina Cecelia Brookes nee Stocks Born on 25/12/ around 1935-40 Father name Anthony Brookes Born ??? I have vheard my Mother may have lived in Malvern when younger and was Roman Catholic and in a convent? I know nothing about my Father apart from he was a business man in Nottingam 1980s and had to leave due to trouble with the police. I don't want to meet my Father again as I did once. My wife and I have 3 great boys and wonder if they have cousins , Aunts , Uncles etc Any help would be most appreciated email dbrookes or reply via Genes Reunited
