A wealth of information can be found on the British Library website. The following is the response I received from the library after I e-mailed them a few weeks ago with a similar enquiry:- You can view the electoral registers in the Social Sciences and Official Publications reading room at The British Library site at 96 Euston Road, NW1 2DB. The registers are held in our basements from 1982 onwards and when ordered will take 1 hour to arrive to the reading room. Prior to that they are held off site in our Woolwich store. We have 3 deliveries a day and they take around half a day to arrive depending on what time you order them. For more information on what we hold have a look at the electoral registers section on our website. See link below: http://www.bl.uk/collections/social/spis_er.html |

If you can't find them in your library try your nearest archives. They usually have them there. Maggy |

They are usually held in the local library for the area that you are looking in. |
