Anne A thread is the list of messages appearing under a particular topic. Click on one of the topics on this board and see the thread. You can search out a thread if you loose track of it, or see a thread under 'your replies' if you want to see the progress of something you have contributed to. Have you looked on the 1881 census (Family Search) or asked on the 'Records Office' board for an 1891 lookup? Also search the 1901 census website? Why not post the family names/details and maybe some kind soul will do a little digging. Ian

I am trying to track down the movements of Henry Clarke Born around 1831 married to Eliza. I have the 1871 census for the family but cant get any more info on their movements. In 1871 the family were at st Pancras London Linda you sent me that info but when I try to print of the page I only get a small part of it printed very large. Goodness knows why! Its probably my stupid fault. Anyway Henry was a freeman of the city of London as he drove the Lord Mayors Coach. Would this help me to find the family? Also I am ashamed to say I do not understand "threads". What are they and how are they used?[Told you I was stupid!] Anne
