Using local papers to search South Tyneside

Thanks Jan Having a closer look, it seems like the Hartlepool and Sunderland papers are the ones with a 'Family Search' section - good luck with finding some of your rellies! Helen |

Looks useful - thanks for that, Jan. I take it the area covered by 'South Tyneside' is South Shields, Jarrow, Hebburn etc. - is that right? (Sorry, not a native of the NE although my mother is from Whitley Bay!) Helen |

Just a thought... I've put a request on the family search page on south tyneside today - not heard anything yet but you never know! www.southtynesidetoday.*co.uk www.nepress.*co.uk has links to other papers in the northeast who might do similar pages. Jan |
