I have the birth details of Evan Christopher Evan Colmeman, b. 1897 in the Leominster district (from ancestry) but can't find out who his parents were. 1901 cenus shows him living at the Hearn household in Newton Bromswold as nephew. I don't want to pay out for his birth cert. - I really need his details to link the right person to my tree. How can I find this out ? Tried IGI with no luck. Mary |

You can't. IF his uncle and his father were siblings and IF they were the only two brothers in the family and IF they were living together on the 1891 census and IF they have an incredibly unique surname then you MAY be able to track them down that way. Personally I think you have more chance of winning the lottery. You'll either have to order the birth certificate or leave it. |

Plus the fact that he was 130 miles away from his birthplace. |

Oh well, birth certificate it is then - it might be worth it to put me out of my misery with this one. Thanks Mary |
