zoe yes it is:( thats why im having so much trouble. mums sisters are a bit like pauline fowler lol wont tell us anything! they are all older than mum so they remember their dad more than what mum does dont worry zoe,im gonna send for his birth cert so at least i will then know if his dad was daniel or edwin/edmund/edward lol susie

Susie I'd start by writing Roberts in squiggly handwiting and then seeing what other letter it coul be mistaken for - then using that as a wildcard search. e.g. Pob*, Fob*, Hob* without knowing ages/birthplace for other siblings its quite hard to search around it isn't it

Susie Had same as you when looking for Walton did eventually find them listed as waters.Knew where to look but they took some finding.Only found them as put another name in and that person was visiting them !!!!! Hope you find them soon Love Jan

mandy lol..ive already got the page of that one as his dad was a whitesmith.but my aunt seems to think that his fathers name was edwin,edmund or edward!!! what a choice lol thankyou anyway:):) zoe ive only looked on ancestry susie

Susie, I think I may have found him on the 1901 census on Ancestry. It doesn't quite match the details you gave; Albert is aged 5, they are living with father Daniel (46) and other children Mary, Daniel, David, Alfred, William, John and George (in that order). The area is St John in Westminster. If you think this might be the one, let me know and I'll try and send you the page. However, you might have already looked on ancestry and discounted this one! his name is albert roberts.he was born 27th january 1897 and it was registered in st george hanover sq. his siblings names are daniel,thomas,alfred,and louisa mary. i dont know their ages but louisa was the youngest.or so mum thinks lol i dont know where to look any more or what roberts could be transcribed as lol thankyou for any help susie

ive been trying to find my grandad in the 1901 census,but hes not there!! i have looked everywhere but no luck!! i have found some albert roberts's there but the names of his siblings dont match up? the info that ive got is very vague cos he died when mum was very young. if any one can help i would be grateful lol i will post his details below.....just in case lol susie
