Thanks I've just run adaware again and so far it hasn't appeared while I'm typing this. If it does it again I'll see about spyware. I have down loaded AOL's spyware programme and will run that again too. Cheers for all your help Diane

Diane: ADAWARE will find and remove the spyware that is generated by cookies and the junk that a program that has installed itself on your PC (without your knowledge) but it won't remove a program.....that has to be done manually by uninstalling it using your REMOVE PROGRAM feature on your PC. Run ADAWARE and see if it in the search results it shows some type of .exe file......this would be the program generating the ad bureau propaganda. The search results will give you the file path of where the program is. Usually it will be found on your C Drive in your Programs file. Many of these programs can be removed using the uninstall feature but as mentioned above in a previous response, some of these sneaky programs are hard to get rid of but a fix can usually be found by doing a search on GOOGLE. If you don't already have SPYWAREBLASTER you might want to consider adding that to your PC as it prevents these programs from downloading themselves while ADAWARE removes the junk that is generated by these programs. Some adware has installers attached to it, so each time a programme like ad aware removes it, it re installs itself. They are very clever. the only way to get rid of it, is to get someone who knows pc's to go into your computer registry and remove the installer. Its not difficult to do, but if, like me you don't really know what you're doing you could wipe off something important from your computer (in my case the DVD driver!) Good luck with it! Sarah

Greeting's Diane. . . Sounds like you have " spy ware from Ad Bureau " Which has attached it's self to your PC. . .. Go to Judy in the States thread " 1 Stop routine maintenance " page 2/3 on Tips board and scroll down to " AD AWARE " and follow instructions to install that programme. . . . MIKE.

Anybody else getting this. When I type a reply to a thread, I hit the return button and this ad bureau site keeps starting to load. Weird Diane
