I wrote to Met Police Service Wellington House 67-73 Buckingham Gate London SW1E 6EB They were very helpful and gave me my GGGrandfathers Reference number, Warrant Number and Dates (joined and left) Good Luck Sheila |

Paul Yes there are! http://www.policeorders.*co.*uk/ [remove asterisks first] This is a website which you can search to find info about your relatives, including their badge number. You can (I believe, although I haven't done this yet) use the badge number to get info from The National Archives, Kew. Hi, Have just discovered a previously well hidden relly who was a Metropolitan Police Constable in 1901. Does anyone know if there are any records for the met available ? Paul |
