I was given the email for the theatre msueum in Covent Garden when looking for my entertainers form teh late 1800s. Don't know if they may be able to help you with 1920s but they were very quick in getting back to me and letting me know if they covered what I was looking for tmenquiries(at sign)vam.ac.uk Good luck Zoe

Pat, I think the site was http://www.entertainer-genealogy.org(.)uk/ but it looks like it's no longer up and running. Have you tried the mailing lists on Rootsweb? They have a couple of Theatrical lists: http://lists.rootsweb(.)com/index/other/Occupations/THEATRE-UK.html http://lists.rootsweb(.) com/index/other/Occupations/THEATRICAL-ANCESTORS.html Emma x

ZOE, EMMA AND SANDRA Thank you so much for you help (what would I do without you all. I am hoping -optimistic to the last- that this one will not be too difficult, he was an entertainer and emigrated to Canada (worked his passage over by entertaining), so I assume he wasn't bad at it. I,ll keep my fingers and everything else crossed that this one at least is easy. Pat
