It is very difficult to do anything without knowing addresses - be it the residential address or the church address. For example, I can't order a Northern Irish marriage certificate the online form tells me I need to know her maiden name and her usual address.

Hi www.groireland.ie/ you can send an e-mail to them to order a certificate, I waited a few weeks and paid in euros. You do need most of the details to help them get the right one. I'm not to sure if there is a site where you can see and then request what you are looking for. I remember reading somewhere that in ww1 or ww2 there was a fire and a few years are missing for Irish ancestors. www.nifhs(.)org/ www.caora(.)net/ www.from-ireland.net www.ireland(.)com/ancestor some of the sites you have to pay hope this helps. Joy, thanks for the links, but how can those sites help me find the D.O.B. online of a person born in Ireland c1900? Is there some long way around it? Also, are the Irish Census available online from 1910-1911 (I forget which year it was)? In the worst case scenario, would I be able to purchase a birth certificate online without knowing the index, and have it delivered to me by snail mail? Or would I have to visit Ireland to search for the index? 1900 is quite late for an Ancestor, so what's the best research route for me to take? I would be very grateful if anyone could help me!

Can I view Irish BMD records online, for a person born c1900, similar to the service offered by 1837online.com for England & Wales? I don't mind paying, as long as I can view the indexes in front of my screen. Any help would be much appreciated!
