What does Kh mean on census records?

I think the first letter is a K, but I suppose the second letter might be 'n' or 'h'. Looking at other 'N's' and 'k's' in the census, they don't look like them. But I could be wrong! Thanks for the reply though. |

Are you sure it's not NK or nk? That means "not known" I've seen it a lot on the place of birth section, sometimes it just says NK, or the county and then NK, meaning the specific town in not known. Sam |

I'v noticed the letters Kh several times on the place of birth section on census records. eg. London Kh and Suffolk Kh. Does anyone know what that means? Suzzanne |
