A couple of months ago, somebody put website details on here, something like "Cops and Robbers". I was particularly interested in the bravery awards to police officers and found a namesake of mine. Unfortunately I failed to put the site into "Favourites" so have lost it. I think it also included details of people who were convicted of offences. Does anyone remember the site ? John R.

John http://www.met.police.uk/history/honour.)htm Remove ) first! This is a Roll of Honour for Metropolitan Police Officers who have lost their lives in the course of their duties. You may find a link to what you want on this. Incidentally, several of my Norfolk grand uncles became policemen, one of them left because he said he couldn't serve God and the devil at the same time! Frances And I've e-mailed you back! My Norfolk policemen were only born in Norfolk. They came down to the Smoke and brought their brother - my grandfather Jeuel - down with them. He couldn't join the Met as he was too short, despite being allegedly the strongest of them. He ran a frame shop in Stoke Newington church street where my father was born. Helen
