sorry - didn't put down order of events - London Provincial to National Provincial then to Nat West

National Provincial Bank amalgamated with Westminster Bank to form NatWest.

Hi - just checked on internet - became NatWest in 1968. Search for London and Provincial Bank if you want more info. Hope this helps

I think it is now part of Natwest which is now part of Royal Bank of Scotland. Whoops no, that is National Provincial, but that may have incorporated London and Provincial.

Hiya, Do any of you clever people out there know about bank takeovers and name changes?.I have THE LONDON AND PROVINCIAL BANK,Mitcham,Surrey in 1912.But cannot find out what it is now as I would like to research its history and any records etc. that may be held about it ?. Many Thanks, Elaine
