I know my uncle changed his name by deed poll to that of his Step father as his mother was widowed when he was only three, He changed his name when a young man and was previously just "known as" KIM |

Thanks to Helen for reply. I wonder, has anyone out there found a relative who changed their name by deed poll? |

Val If you go to the National Archives website, and choose their leaflets page, there is a lot of info about change of name by deed poll. Of course, people could change their name without legal involvement, which is harder to prove! Helen |

Ann of Perths request for help, made me wonder if there are any records to help search for people who have changed their name by deed poll? Val |
