still getting no where with my father in law, what I know is his name, have two d/o/b for him, 1908, 1910 just a countie on his death cert, no father on his marriage cert he had a brother and sister have seached and seached no sign of them I am beginning to think, were they registered under another name but took their fathers surname have no one left to ask, have spent hours looking in the st catherines index and on 1837 site nothing ANN

Hi Ann Do you know his mothers maiden name at all? Could be a birth for him under her name? I spent 3 years looking for my husbands gg grandfather as he was born under a different name. Born Robert Jacobs ( Jacobs his mothers name) married and died Thomas Henry Rivers ( his full fathers name ). Census forms helped only because he was living as a young boy with his granny and Aunts all the way through until his marriage. You'll find the answers you need eventually...........just wish I had some more useful advice for you, sorry. Much happiness Debi

Hi Debi do not know his mothers name I wish I did have tried all sorts of wild cards but nothing. my husband is wondering if our surname is really somethink else ANN
