I know we have an unusual names thread going, but can anyone give me a clue as to where the first name TROTH comes from. It's a female my the way. Thanks Helen |

Troth is an archaic English word related to Norse tru´. It means "faith" or "belief" in the sense "to trust in someone/something" I could only find 1 reference as a first name at: http://www.peterwestern.f9.*co.uk/maximilia/pafg1775.htm This is a female Bob |

Thanks Bob. I've heard of 'Troth' in wedding vows. When I put the girls full name of Troth Hill in the LDS search, it actually brought back 5 - must be a family name. Helen |
