can anyone help me, my g grandparents died in 1959 and 1960 in Madeley. They were catholics but I have no idea where they were buried. Anyone with any ideas - please !!!! |

Greeting's Sarah. . . . Which Madeley ? Shrewsbury or Stoke-on-Trent. . . Then if you type into google Find a church you might get a better idea. |

Hi Mike, its the one in Shrewsbury. I am not certain if people were still buried in denominatinal cemetarys in that time, or they had changed to the 'everybody' ones - no pun intended ! Have managed to find the local catholic church, St Marys, although it gives me no clues as to burials. Oh well. Thanks for your advice. :) |

If you have enough details you can contact Shropshire Archives . I tried to give address[with brackets] without success. I suggest you try shropshire archives in google. Can someone tell me why I couldn't put the address? How do you do it? Wendy |
