I have just checked a couple of names in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire - anything I say must be used only as a guide. You do not get *anyone's* occupation. Generally you get date, church and the names of the happy couple. This is all you seem to get in Scotland, even in the 1850s Ages and fathers' names seem to start around 1837 but there are still some marriages in the 1850s without ages. Some counties are covered very badly, other quite well eg: Lincs and Leics 390,709 and 611 births 128,092 and 87 marriages

Hi, Could anyone tell me what information is found on the BIVRI records. Do they tell you all the info found on the certificates themselves..e.g I am interested in a marriage, wherbey I would like to know the ages of those getting married and the name / occupation of the grooms father...is that info shown on the BIVRI records ? Regards Martin
