1871 census oddities

Just checking rellies in 1871 Gloucestershire now on ancestry - strange things. One family has been recorded twice at different addresses in Gloucester - def the same family! Also - maybe nothing to do with mine , hopefully just the same name , but the enumerator across the occ column has printed - THIS FAMILY IN A SHOCKING STATE. Has anyone come across these types of things before? Jan - not in a shocking state! |

I found a family on the 1881 twice. If I remember correctly, they had a shop - perhaps they were recorded as being on both streets at their corner shop. |

My GGGrandfather was registered at home in Sunderland on the 1891 and also visiting his brother in Stockton!! Definitely the same person on both the pages |
