I was wondering where Eccleshill is. This is the census place for some of my ancestors. I am assuming it is in West Yorkshire as the registration district for some of the births is Bradfor Y. I tried searching on multimap but it didn't have an Eccleshill listed. Could some kind person enlighten me please! Jeanette

Hi Jeanette, Eccleshill is indeed a suburb of Bradford. Areas close by are Idle, Apperly Bridge, Five Lane Ends, Bolton Junction, Thorpe Edge Try the RAC Route planner or streetmap (.)co(.)uk old-maps(.)co(.)uk is good if you need 1850's maps Good Luck xx Dave
