Rosemary and Pat While I do not object to the reminder I think it is a heck of a cheek when you both had a month still to go. They should not advertise 12 months subscription if they only intend giving you 11months access. That's cheating us. Although FRIENDS REUNITED will expire 13th July GENES CONNECTED STILL HAS 3/4 MONTHS TO GO. so I am pretty disgusted with them asking for payment now. I have contacted them and it will be interesting to see if I get a reply. Pat With the responses added to this theme it would be interesting to see just how many have had this problem.

Hi Patricia I had over a month to run before my membership was due for renewal when GC notified me that I should renew my membership, adding that I could renew it for £7.50, three days after I received this message I found that because I hadn't renewed it straight away I was no longer a full member. I understood that membership was supposed to be for a full year, the same as their sister website "Friends Reunited" Are we being conned? Rosemary

Hi Liz Yes there could be a gap but to ask me to renew it 3/4 months earlier than I first made contact is a bit much. Pat

When I joined GC - I paid by credit card and had a email back saying something like "you have paid" - I didnot become a member straight away - so my join date and menbership date are different. Liz

I have just seen a message on the home page telling me my membership is due for renewal now. I visited Friends reunited who tell me my membership expires on the 13.7.04 which is about right but for Genes Connected/Reunited it should not be due for renewal until Sept/Oct. Has anyone else had this problem Or are we having to start all over again with this name change? Pat
