I am up and running with Tribalpages and have 600+ names there fully linked. I discovered tribalpages in April. I started Genesconnect in November 2003 and only have about 260 names posted. I find GC very user hostile but will Percy Vear (Pun). I have 265 photos and would recommend TP, as a sanity fix or bench mark in how gene sites SHOULD work.

Hi James I posted a thread on this subject yesterday morning, it was driving me mad!!! Apparently it is because I was still using the old "Genes Connected" link to enter this site, get rid of that and enter through www.genesreunited(.)com also change your favourites if you save your links there, as I do. I've done that and every thing is great. I know how annoying it is, I was ready to smash things!!!!! Hope it works for you Sam *N.B. Remove brackets in the web address

Hi James, I do feel for you. I have had similar frustrating times with GC. They said they have improved their software, yet I got 'page not found' again just yesterday! I suggest you enter this thread on the General Topics board--believe me, you will get lots of sympathy there as it's a regular topic of conversation! I wish you luck with your next site--apparently tribalpages is very good.

This is an alternative name for this site. I have 600 names but have not the time nor patients to undure genesconnect patetic software glitches. To change PArker to Parker took 50 minutes. So if you see a person walking down the street with clumps of hair pulled out, tap them on the shoulder as they are a fellow Genesconnect user. With only 200 names posted I have used an alternative site and done me 'me money'. For those who are masochists to change PArker to Parker you need to change it back to Unknown and then to Parker. so long GC, I need my sanity and am prepared to put up with American sites rather tan suffer this substandare service. JB
