Thank you Gwyneth and Debi - I am sure I will find a home for him eventually. I don't think he's much older than mid 40's - he has a full head of dark wavy hair and a full, dark beard and moustache. Regards, Linda.

Hi Linda I wonder if he would be related to A James Hudson TAYLOR - he formed a rather infamous group of Ministries called The Cambridge Seven who set off to China to join Hudson in 1885 to preach the lords work. OR indeed it is him or a son maybe? Hudson is in my tree by association of marriage ( rather D I S T A N T L Y ) His Sister's daughter marry's into a connecting line. Thus I have done no research on them at all - perhaps I should. Hope someone claims him as their blood line though, sad to think that he wasn't wanted : (( Much happiness Debi

I quite understand that you would want to rescue him. Is he a young chap or older? He's not mine and I don't know where you bought it but the 1901 census shows a James TAYLOR, 64,b. Scotland living in Bognor, Sussex. He was a Congregational minister. Wonder if it's him?

Does anyone have a Reverend James Taylor in their family tree? I purchased a photograph at a carboot, solely because it seemed a shame for him to end up in those circumstances! Early 1900's?? Please e-mail if you think he might be yours and I'll send him on. Linda.
