Please can anyone tell me the location of this church. My gg grandfather re-married there in 1899. Is the church still there does anyone know?? Thanks. Maz. XX

Thanks Christine, have added that to my faves. It shows a St Mark's in Poplar, but not convinced it is the correct one. Thanks Sharon matey, have replied to you! I have 2 marriage certs, 1 shows St Mark's Victoria Docks (which I have found) and now the other shows St Mark's Bow. I think I will try the East of London Family History Society if no-one comes on who lives next door to it! Thanks again! Maz. XX

Hello again dear I have just been onto the EOLFHS site and had a look at the churches under Bow and there isnt a St Marks listed. The only ones listed are St Mary, The Congregational Chapel and Our Lady St Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic. There is a St Mark listed under Poplar though St Mark, Cadogan Terrace, Bow records held at the LMA. Sharon

I have an 1892 marriage certificate for my grandparents from St Mark, Old Street. That's the first time my grandmother appears anywhere on any documents that I've found, but that's another story.
